- striploin, ribeye or T-bone beef cut
- olive oil
- salt and black pepper
- Heat the pan or barbecue (high heat).
- Make sure the steak is at room temperature. Drizzle a little olive oil over the steak and season with salt and black pepper just before placing it on the hot pan or barbecue.
- Cook for two minutes, then turn and cook for another two minutes on the other side.
- Allow to rest for a few minutes before serving
